In 2004, it was assigned by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada the responsibility of implementing the New Brunswick share of the Advancing Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food (ACAAF) Program and in 2006; it was designated to administer the Biofuels Opportunities for Producer Initiative (BOPI). More recently, the NBAC has started to administer the regional and the multiregional component of the Canadian Agricultural and Adaptation Program (CAAP) in NB.
